Media Room Design Tips

Step 1: Decide where is the basement you would like to place the media room and how large you would like it to be. Don’t forget to consider other factors such as whether or not you will be including a bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, etc. This is a fantastic area for social activities such as video gaming, game nights, sleepovers, etc.
Step 2: TV screen size is the focal point of the room. Therefore it is important to select the correct TV size. The rule of thumb is when you measure the TV screen (diagonally of course!) you should be able to sit back two to three times that measurement for optimal viewing from all angle. That will give you that WOW factor you are looking for!
Step 3: Aesthetic factors such as hidden wires and controls, built-in cabinetry, and think drapery not only add to the overall feel but to the sound quality as well. Also when selecting furniture products such as sectional couches, reclining chairs, and movable chairs add to the versatility of this space.
Step 4: INTERNET connection…do not forget this. With so many people using the internet to stream movies and TV shows, this is a very important component to have. In many cases wireless internet capabilities can be utilized as well.
