This is where the magic begins! Often times our customers tell us how difficult it is for them to envision all of their ideas coming together for one final project. This is why we believe that seeing a design plan before construction is started, is vital to the overall success of the project.
With that being said it is crucial that our customers are very thorough at the estimate with all of their thoughts and expectations for the project. Pictures, website links, finished product examples, are all great ways to ensure that everyone is on the same page. At GCS we give you the option to upload design links to us or we can collect copies of images at the estimate.
Design Process from Start to Finish
1. We will meet with you at the project site to discuss ideas and expectations for the finished product. At this point we will collect any pictures or printouts that you may have, as well as internet links or websites related to the project.
2. Within 24 to 48 hours (usually 24 unless the estimate is complex) GCS will have a rough estimate to you to see if the project is something that your budget will allow. If you accept this estimate, a deposit of $500 will be needed and then your project will be designed within our software and presented to you within a week (depending on complexity of the project).
3. GCS will present your finalized design to you either at a second in-home estimate or through a virtual meeting. At this point you can either approve the design or we can make changes to the design. Once the design is in its finalized state we will then present you with a finalized estimate within 24 hours (This estimate is usually very close to the same as the initial estimate, unless major changes are made).
If you decide to go with us: We will credit you the $500 towards your remodel for allowing us to complete your project!
If you decide to go with another contractor: We will keep the $500 for the design fees and release the finalized drawings to you.
