Unless you are one of the very few “lucky” ones, you have those not so nice looking columns throughout your basement. Of course there is always the more time consuming and expensive route which is to have the columns removed. This requires a visit from an engineer and in most cases a reinforcement process. Sometimes it is worth the time and additional cost, such as in situations where a pool table , sectional couch, or other object is desired in that space. Other times the homeowner just does not like the look. In these cases column wraps are an option to make them look nice and complete, and to aesthetically flow with the rest of the basement. They are also a nice option to place additional outlets in.
Column Wrap Options
Drywall wraps are our most popular and cost effective solution to covering up those unsightly metal poles! After it is wrapped in drywall it is painted and trimmed out to match the rest of your basement. Once again creating a flowing design.
Stone wraps produce a finished product that is stunning and a great accent option for someone who does not want the expense of a full stone accent wall.
Custom wood wraps are also another option. The completed look is absolutely stunning! Imagine an authentic cedar log column wrap in a mountain themed remodel! These options can be rather pricey but can really add to the finished product.
Of course we could never present a completed list of every column wrap possible! If you have an idea please let us know and we can price that out for you. Or if you would rather us give you an idea, we can do that as well!
